Williamson County, TX Holiday Events Offer Seasonal Fun this December

The holidays are here, and that means you’ll find plenty of fun, festive events for the whole family right here in Williamson County! The holiday season kicked off with the Liberty Hill Christmas Festival December 3rd, and there are still plenty of other events to add to your calendar. You’ll find something for everyone, whether you’re wanting to start some new family traditions, do some shopping, take the little ones to see Santa, listen to your favorite holiday music, or even help others in need.  Read on for our list of Williamson County, TX holiday events!

If you’re looking for something fun to do with friends and family while also getting a few things knocked off your holiday shopping list, don’t forget Happy’s Christmas Market right here at Santa Rita Ranch this December 18 at The Hub! Happy’s Christmas Market is open to the public and will feature a variety of local artisans and specialty vendors, great food from local food trucks, and some live entertainment from Sterling Cabbiness, Elle Townley, Courtney Jones, and others! It kicks off at 10 in the morning and runs until 4pm in The Hub parking lot. Everyone is welcome! Click the link for more info and RSVP today!

Christmas on the Farm, November 25 – December 31. Come on down to Sweet Eats Fruit Farm in Georgetown (14400 E Hwy. 29) anytime this month, and you can check out everything from an 11-foot-tall gingerbread house to live reindeer! Kids can get their photos taken with Santa’s sleigh, and everyone can enjoy some kettle corn and other delicious treats. Tickets start at $18.95, and the farm is open daily from 9am to 6pm throughout the season. If you have questions, just give them a call at 512-766-3276.

Pancake Breakfast with Santa, December 17 starting at 6:30am. Santa Claus is coming to town! In fact, he’s coming to the San Gabriel Community Center at 445 E. Morrow St. in Georgetown for a pancake breakfast sponsored by the Sun City Rotary Club and the Georgetown Fire Department! Children 12 and under get in free, while just $6 gets anyone over the age of 12 in to see Santa and enjoy some delicious pancakes! It’s a great way to start your day and ensure that you stay on Santa’s nice list this year!

Holiday Inn at The Georgetown Palace, November 18 – December 30. Adapted from the 1942 Hollywood classic, this new stage production of Holiday Inn features all the comedy, dancing, and, of course, Irving Berlin songs that you remember from the film, brought to the stage at the Georgetown Palace in a brand new production. Featuring such classic numbers as “Blue Skies,” “Easter Parade,” “Heat Wave,” and, yes, “White Christmas,” this is a perfect addition to your family’s holiday season, with tickets starting at $24. Showtimes vary, so call the box office at 512-869-7469!

The Christmas Walk of Lights Toy Drive, December 17 from 5:30 to 8:30pm. Here’s a great chance to spend some time with the family, see the holiday lights, and do some good for local children in need. What could be more perfect for Christmas? Kicking off at 1415 County Road 258 in Liberty Hill, the walk features Christmas-themed scenes as well as food trucks, snacks, a photo booth, and more! Most importantly, though, the goal is to gather some 300 toys for children in need, so bring a toy and get a free cup of cocoa as you walk. You’ll have a merry Christmas, and you’ll know that you’re helping local kids do the same!

Home for the Holidays with the Central Texas Philharmonic, December 18 from 3 to 4:30pm. Come on down to the Klett Center for the Performing Arts at 2211 N Austin Ave. in Georgetown, TX for a massive musical program featuring your favorite holiday songs! The program includes something for everyone, whether it’s classics like “Hallelujah” from Handel’s Messiah, the holiday favorite “Sleigh Ride,” music from John Williams’ score to Home Alone, and so much more! Enjoy some amazing music that everyone in the family will love from some of our best homegrown musicians.
