2021 is drawing to a close, and this is the time of year when we like to take a moment or two to be grateful for all the amazing things that we’ve had the opportunity to experience over the past year. Here at the Ranch, we’ve enjoyed a truly incredible year, and we have quite a list to share as part of our Santa Rita Ranch end of year recap. The list is almost too long for a single article, but we’ll do our best to squeeze it all in! Are you ready?
For starters, we met the increased housing demand that Texas has been experiencing with a record 721 starts in the past four quarters. Because of this, Santa Rita Ranch now ranks as the number-one “Most Active Community in Austin,” according to Zonda Metrostudy. It’s the fifth most active in the entire state of Texas! And that’s just the beginning.
RCLO named us the Top Selling Community in Austin, the number-five community in Texas, and number 33 in the entire country! This meant that we got to do a lot of one of our favorite things: welcoming friendly new faces to our master-planned community!
With so many new people joining our Ranch family, a lot of new construction happened around Santa Rita, and we celebrated more than a few grand openings during the course of the year. Santa Rita Middle School opened its doors in the fall, offering an on-site school for residents attending grades six through eight.
We also celebrated the grand opening of our Memorial Plaza, where we honor our brave veterans and first responders. We even saw the grand opening of a new H-E-B location right near the Ranch. Our residents now can shop for groceries at Texas’s most loved grocery store, and it’s just a one-minute drive away from home! Speaking of honoring our veterans (and H-E-B), we were also proud to partner with Operation Finally Home to offer Army Veteran Aaron Cabrera and his family a brand-new, mortgage-free home from Highland Homes!
One of the developments that we’re most excited about is our partnership with Toll Brothers to create a new active-adult neighborhood right here at the Ranch! Regency at Santa Rita Ranch will be our first neighborhood exclusively for active adults, and it will combine some one-of-a-kind features with access to all the amenities that our residents already know and love. Plus, we couldn’t be more excited about working with Toll Brothers, one of the most respected developers in the business.
We also watched with joy as the schools around us grew. Divine Savior Academy expanded its campus to accommodate students up to sixth grade, while Georgetown ISD passed a massive bond proposal to bring new technology and building upgrades to many schools in the area. Including a new elementary campus right here in Santa Rita Ranch. Add it all together, and there’s never been a better time to be a student—or the parent of a student—at Santa Rita Ranch!
Besides welcoming lots of new residents to our Ranch family, we also had a new Director of Fun join our team in 2021! Candice Roy brings years of experience and a real passion for making the lives of our residents fun and exciting day-in and day-out to her role as our new Lifestyle Director, and we couldn’t be happier to welcome her to Santa Rita Ranch! She’s already started rolling out incredible events and opportunities that our residents love!
As we said, a lot of wonderful things have happened here at the Ranch over the past year, and we know that none of them would have been possible without our amazing community filled with friendly faces and welcoming folks!
