2019 was a banner year for Santa Rita Ranch for many reasons. Including that we were mentioned not once but twice by real estate and housing market expert groups—both of which listed Santa Rita Ranch among the top 50 master-planned communities in the nation.
Either recognition on its own would be an extraordinary honor; receiving both recognitions together has us happy as a clam at high tide. Here at Santa Rita Ranch, we couldn’t be more pleased with how our team of home builders help to make Ranch living an appealing option for a wide variety of home buyers, from first-time home buyers to retirees and everyone in between!
In fact, we’re so tickled by the news that we had to share it. For starters, Santa Rita Ranch was featured in RCLCO‘s 2019 Top-Selling Master-Planned Communities list for achieving total sales that were more than 48% higher than the total sales in 2018. What does that mean? It means we sold a lot more new homes to happy residents last year than the year before!
RCLCO is a well-known authority in the field with more than 50 years of experience in reporting on the real estate market and providing economic, financial, and impact analysis, so recognition from RCLCO is especially welcome.
In 2019, Santa Rita Ranch posted 372 new home closings. According to the RCLCO report, those figures place Santa Rita Ranch among the top five communities in the nation and the third highest in Texas. In Williamson County? Well, we’re pleased to say that we came in number one.
Of course, we didn’t do it all by ourselves. Sales of new homes in the Austin area are leading the nation, with Zillow reporting record-breaking home sales in the region at the end of 2019. We’re pleased to offer home shoppers beautiful home options in an exciting, vibrant community that is continuing to grow—adding jobs, schools, shopping destinations, amenities, and much more!
Santa Rita Ranch was also acknowledged as one of the top 50 master-planned communities by John Burns Real Estate Consulting, based on net sales. This means that Santa Rita Ranch sold more than 370 new homes in 2019—372, to be exact.
It’s our first time in the John Burns Top 50, and we couldn’t be more thrilled. John Burns Real Estate Consulting offers some of the most precise analysis of the housing market that you’ll find anywhere, powered by a passionate team of research analysts and consultants stationed all over the country. If we made their list, we must be doing something right.
Santa Rita Ranch is proud to be among the 14 master-planned communities in Texas identified in the John Burns Top 50. The John Burns list also pointed out the strong Austin housing market overall, with five master-planned communities in Austin, TX alone! It’s a great time to move to Texas, especially for first-time home buyers!
Both RCLCO and the John Burns Top 50 mention an increase in the total homes sold in the Austin area from 2018 to 2019, with RCLCO confirming Santa Rita Ranch as one of the fastest-growing communities in the country. They also point out that master-planned communities such as Santa Rita Ranch are dominating new home sales in many cities.
The reasons are obvious. Master-planned communities offer a desirable lifestyle, fun amenities, lovely, move-in-ready homes at a variety of price ranges, and, in the case of Santa Rita Ranch, a uniquely Texas landscape and community, where residents can learn from the land, enjoy family bonds, and get to know their neighbors.
At Santa Rita Ranch, all our residents enjoy a wide variety of amenities and resident events, ranging from our pools and playgrounds to an indoor fitness center, hiking trails through the Texas Hill Country, and much more.
An on-site Director of Fun plans more than 100 social events, pool parties, sports games, and other activities every year, and we’re looking forward to offering our residents even more in 2020, including new product offerings, more builders, and new on-site schools, to name just a few.
