Santa Rita Ranch Named Among 2020’s Top 21 Master-Planned Communities by RCLCO

Did you notice people lining up to buy new Scott Felder homes at Santa Rita Ranch recently? People actually camped overnight outside the Scott Felder model home to be one of the first to buy a new home in our master-planned community in 2021! And with amazing homes on lots up to half an acre and breathtaking views of the rolling Texas Hill Country outside their windows, who can blame them?

In fact, Santa Rita Ranch recently became the number-one top-selling master-planned community in the Greater Austin Area, and it’s among the top four master-planned communities in the state of Texas. Thanks in part to a massive influx of new residents locating from points across the country, the Austin area has been growing in leaps and bounds, and we’ve been growing with it! Santa Rita Ranch sold 72% more homes in 2020 than we did just the year before.

Of course, we’re proud of those numbers, and we’re proud that industry-leading organizations such as RCLCO and John Burns Real Estate Consulting have included Santa Rita Ranch among the 25 best selling master-planned communities in the nation, but the best part about selling so many new homes is welcoming so many friendly new faces to our community.

In 2020, we helped 641 families find the home of their dreams in Santa Rita Ranch, and we’re looking forward to welcoming lots more people to the community in 2021 as the Greater Austin Area continues to grow and prosper. We also believe that our Ranch community is only as vibrant and healthy as the greater community around us. For every home we’ve sold, we’ve donated $1,000 to an educational fund to support local schools. That’s $641,000 that we donated in 2020!

Santa Rita Ranch Developer Ed Horne says that 2020 has been the best year he’s seen in 44 years working in the housing industry, and he’s looking forward to 2021! The huge influx of new home buyers to the Austin area is due to a lot of factors, from lower taxes to great job opportunities to top-notch schools, fantastic weather, and unbeatable culture.
