Another year has come to an end, and for Santa Rita Ranch, 2022 was nothing short of amazing! Last year, we saw so many good things in our community, such as the grand opening of a new model home park in our Homestead Village, The Grove Church opening its doors, the much-anticipated Kids R Kids daycare, and Regency at Santa Rita Ranch, our 55+ active adult neighborhood. We also saw the passing of a massive technology and improvements bond for the Georgetown ISD. And to cap off a great year, Santa Rita Ranch has received great news from the RCLCO 2022 rankings report!
The 2022 RCLCO report is out, and Santa Rita Ranch is once again among the top 50 master-planned communities in 2022. In many ways the new report is very similar to the 2021 report in that Santa Rita Ranch has made the list of the top 50 best-selling master-planned communities in the U.S. We are #32 in the nation, #10 in Texas, and #1 in the Austin-Round Rock area. In other words, Santa Rita Ranch was named the top-selling community in the Austin area for the third year in a row, and it was the only community in Austin, Texas listed in the report. In 2022, Austin was among the top 10 real estate markets in the U.S. due to significant growth in the local tech industry, relative affordability of housing, and volumes of available remote work employment opportunities.
As always, we couldn’t be happier that RCLCO has once again recognized our master-planned community in Liberty Hill, but the real joy comes from the fact that we helped 450 families find a new home and a new community to call their own here on The Ranch.
There’s more good news to share! According to the RCLCO 2022 rankings report, the state of Texas was the market with the most significant momentum. Nineteen of the 50 top master-planned communities for 2022 were in the state of Texas (which is one more than in the report from the previous year), beating out Florida for the state with the best-selling master-planned communities in the U.S. In addition, home sales at master-planned communities in Texas were up 116% over 2021 for those that made the Top 50 list. New master-planned communities in Katy, Cypress, and Rosharon made the Top 50 list, and the Houston MSA was the top-performing metropolitan area with 13 communities in the top 50! This just goes to show how popular the great state of Texas continues to be with those who are looking to move or relocate for economic reasons, great job opportunities, an affordable lifestyle for themselves and their families, and great schools.
The 450 new-home sales that Santa Rita Ranch experienced in 2022 are a testament to the popularity of the Austin area as well. It’s not lost on us that each new home sold in our master-planned community represents a family getting a new start, an addition to our growing community, a benefit to our local economy, and a boom for the future of Texas.
Truly, 2022 was another amazing year for Santa Rita Ranch in Liberty Hill. Once again, we couldn’t be more pleased to have helped so many new families find a home in one of the best communities in Texas. Santa Rita Ranch is looking forward to welcoming even more new families to our community in 2023.
