Parents and school-aged children at Santa Rita Ranch have been watching the progress of the Divine Savior Academy since the new private school first broke ground in May 2019. Today, the 25,000-square-foot Liberty Hill private school is open and bustling with activity. It’s filled with preschoolers aged three and four as well as elementary students through fifth grade. Sixth grade will be added in the 2021-2022 school year!
Even though Divine Savior Academy is large, students receive focused attention in smaller settings for the one-on-one attention they deserve. Early childhood classes have a teacher-to-student ratio of 1 to 9, and the ratio is 1 to 14 in elementary classrooms. Students also benefit from a design and creativity lab, an auditorium, and a playground on a 13-acre site that will also be home to a future recreation field.
The staff couldn’t be more excited to be a part of one of these unique new private schools in the Georgetown, TX area. Our staff of talented teachers are dedicated to helping your children learn and prepare for a bright future. In addition, every early childhood and lower elementary classroom is staffed with paraprofessionals, who are ready to help out and ensure that children get the individual attention that matters so much. Here at the Ranch, we’re thrilled that Divine Savior shares our belief in the importance of education and in treating each child as unique, so that we can help them make the most of their educational journey.
The Santa Rita Ranch Divine Savior Academy is under the leadership of our Head of Schools, Tim Biesterfeld, Head of Early Childhood Education, Shawna Mehlberg, Pastor Stephen Apt, and Director of Admissions, Lisa Thomas. Along with the rest of the faculty and staff, they join our community of families, students, and friends who are dedicated to working together to help the children at our newest private school in Liberty Hill, TX thrive.
“We’re off to a great first school year with 102 students enrolled to date, and we’re conducting tours and enrolling students for 2021,” said Director of Admissions Lisa Thomas. “Our approach to education is one that gives our children a foundation for life. The caring instruction and focused attention of our teachers encourages all our students to become confident, successful, life-long learners. We all feel blessed to share this wonderful school with this community, and we’re excited every day to watch it grow.”
Serving students in early childhood and elementary school, the Divine Savior Academy in Santa Rita Ranch is part of one of the biggest private school systems in the country – one that has been educating students for over 165 years.
