Have you heard the news? Santa Rita Ranch has again been named Community of the Year! The Homebuilders Association of Greater Austin (HBA) held its annual Marketing and Advertising Excellence (MAX) Awards Austin at the Hyatt Regency June 25, and Santa Rita Ranch came away a big winner! We not only took home wins for Community of the Year and Developer of the Year once again, but we also won Best Lifestyle Program, Best Welcome Center, Best Community Amenity, and Best Print Ad!
Of course, we couldn’t be prouder! As the only local awards program recognizing the fields of residential construction, development, and more, the MAX Awards Austin are an important part of the Austin-area landscape for master-planned communities like ours, and it’s an incredible feeling to be recognized by our friends, neighbors, and peers.
The MAX Awards feature a different theme each year. This year’s theme was the Bootlegger’s Mystery Ball, offering a real “Who Done It Best” mystery for all attendees. The gala ceremony drew hundreds of guests, and the HBA presented awards in a wide range of categories. Below are the MAX Awards Austin categories that Santa Rita Ranch won this year:
- Master-Planned Community of the Year (600 Acres or More)
- Developer of the Year
- Best Lifestyle Program for a Community
- Best Sales/Welcome Center
- Best Community Amenity, won for our Memorial Plaza in Tierra Rosa
- Best Print Ad
A jury of industry professionals from outside the Austin marketplace were tasked with reviewing more than 400 entries to determine the winners. It was a great night for all the attendees, and though it may sound like a cliché by now, it was an honor just to be nominated. We were so thrilled to be included among the best in the business and surrounded by true industry leaders of the greater Austin area.
Santa Rita Ranch is a four-time winner of the Grand MAX Award for Master-Planned Community of the Year, and Ed and Elizabeth Horne are four-time winners of the Developer of the Year award, as well. Although it goes without saying, we’re going to say it anyway: We’re grateful to all of the judges and to the Homebuilders Association of Greater Austin for their time and effort to give back to our industry and to our regional market. We love the greater Austin area, and it’s so wonderful to be around others who love it just as much as we do!
While we appreciate all of this praise from within our industry, we are never more pleased with our efforts than when we receive glowing words straight from our own Santa Rita Ranch neighbors. There’s no doubt that folks love living the Ranch lifestyle, and we like to believe that it has as much to do with our core values and our Ranch Code as it does with our state-of-the-art amenities, serene parks and trails, beautiful homes, and all the endless fun that residents enjoy at events throughout the year. We love welcoming new faces to our community, and we couldn’t be happier helping them have fun along the way!
Once again, it was great seeing everyone at the MAX Awards Austin! We’re very proud of what we’ve built here at Santa Rita Ranch, and we appreciate the hard work that the jury and the Homebuilders Association of Greater Austin do each year to ensure that the MAX Awards are a memorable event to look forward to.
