Have you heard the news? H-E-B has announced plans for a new store at Bar W Marketplace near Leander, with a grand opening in the fall of 2021! If you’re mentally trying to conjure up a map right now, let us help you out. It’ll be located at 19348 Ronald W. Reagan Blvd, basically right here at Santa Rita Ranch!
“What once was a 15-minute drive for Santa Rita Ranch residents to get to the nearest H-E-B will now be a short 1-minute drive,” said Santa Rita Ranch Developer Ed Horne. “This long-awaited development will be the closest grocery store to our amazing community, and we couldn’t be more excited that it’s coming!”
For those who aren’t already in the know, H-E-B is quite simply THE BEST grocery store in Texas – maybe even the entire country. The new H-E-B store is being built in partnership with Barshop & Oles, the premier developer of H-E-B centers in Central Texas. This new location promises to be everything that we’ve come to expect from H-E-B, offering more than 100,000 square feet of world-class grocery shopping with an emphasis on fresh, top-quality food options at everyday low prices, plus all the extras like Meal Simple, Sushiya, a scratch bakery, an expansive deli, and much more!
What will you find at the NEW H-E-B?
Well, top-notch food, for starters, including plenty of stuff that comes from right here in Texas. The produce section at your local H-E-B is well-stocked with more than 900 different home-grown options, and there’s also a wine and beer department that stocks local, national, and international labels. You can even craft your own six-pack! The new Leander location will feature an ample checkout area with self-checkout options, a full-service scratch bakery and tortilleria for artisan breads and tortillas, full-service meat market and seafood counter, a floral department, a pharmacy with drive-thru, curbside pickup, a home delivery service, and more. H-E-B is also known for its unbeatable private label collection. If you’ve never had the H-E-B Creamery Creation Peach Cobbler ice cream, we’re here to tell you it’s the BEST ICE CREAM EVER! In addition to all that, the new H-E-B will feature a Texas Backyard section offering products for grilling, gardening and outdoor entertaining.
What makes this so exciting?
Here at the Ranch, we love H-E-B! And we’re not alone! In fact, data science company Dunnhumby did a survey asking consumers to rank the top 60 largest grocery retailers in the country and found that H-E-B beat out even Trader Joe’s as the best in America!
