Our lifestyle program diligently curates fantastic Fall events, inviting families to step outside, relish the Hill Country air, and partake in celebrations like our Oktoberfest and Texas National Night Out. This ensures our residents enjoy both the charm of local community events in Liberty Hill and Georgetown, and the exclusive events tailored just for Santa Rita Ranch families.
Here at Santa Rita Ranch, we cherish the autumnal vibes deeply. We take pride in promoting standout fall events both within our community and around the town, such as Going Greek with Lakonia Imports, the National Night Out, Oktoberfest in Fredricksburg, Trunk or Treat Boo Bash, The Fall Home Model Tour, and the 5k Turkey Trot. That’s why we’ve compiled a list of some of our favorite fall activities in Liberty Hill for families to savor this year! Ready to get started? We sure are!
Are the kids anxious to do a little candy gathering this Halloween season? The Liberty Hill Police Department is sponsoring its annual Trunk or Treat at Rockpoint Church (170 CR 214). This is a safe and fun way for kids and families to celebrate the holiday and do some trick-or-treating in a safe and welcoming environment. Community members and folks from local businesses dress up their vehicles in spooky Halloween themes and pass out candy for all. The date is still TBD, but stay tuned for an update soon!
Barktoberfest is back! That’s right. For the 21st year in a row, the Central Texas SPCA will be hosting its 3K dog walk and 5K fun run to help raise money for the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. You can even enter your four-legged friends in a few contests, including “Coolest Trick” and every dog’s favorite, “Peanut Butter Eating!” Admission to the festival is free, while entry fees for the 3K walk and 5K run are $15 and $25 respectively. This annual event takes place on October 21 starting at 8 am at Veteran’s Memorial Park at 2525 W. New Hope Drive in Cedar Park.
Keep an eye out for the Great Pumpkin at the Rockbridge Church Pumpkin Patch, with a fall festival that offers free games, a petting zoo from Tiny Tails to You, and more! Adults will enjoy browsing some fine local vendors at the Artisan’s Market. It all happens on October 21 from 10 am until 2 pm at 2001 W. New Hope Drive in Cedar Park! If your kids are excited about the petting zoo, make sure to come out between 11 am and 1 pm to see all the animals!
Leander Parks and Recreation will host Tricks & Treats Spooktacular at the Park at 11880 Hero Way W in Leander on October 28 from 5 pm until 7:30. Admission is free, so bring the kids out for safe and fun trick-or-treating complete with candy booths and even a Halloween costume contest. They can win some treats and prizes that are so fun… they’re scary!
Looking for something kids and adults will love? Why not attend a Ghoulish Sugar Cookie Decorating Class hosted by Joy Leigh? This two-hour class costs $45 and runs from 11 am until 1 pm on October 28. Kids under the age of 13 will need adult supervision, but tickets can be purchased for anyone who is at least 8 years old. It’s more than just putting some frosting on cookies, too. You’ll learn everything from how to make the dough up through actually putting the icing on the cookies. Everything you need to prepare some sweet treats will be provided, but bring your own aprons to Main Street Social at 1651 Loop 332 in Liberty Hill!
If you can imagine it, it’s probably happening at the Liberty Hill Fall Festival. Inflatable bounce houses and slides. Live music. Food trucks. Carnival games. Sword fights! Plus, admission is FREE! All you have to do is come out to the Liberty Hill Middle School on October 28 between 5 and 8 pm, and you’ll find so much fun waiting for you! Monsters are invading Main Street for the Monster on Main Street event in Downtown Liberty Hill from 2 to 5 pm on October 28. Kids of all ages can trick-or-treat among local businesses throughout Liberty Hill’s historic downtown. Want to know which businesses are participating or how to find some good public parking spots? Best of all, fall activities for families in Liberty Hill don’t end once October is over! The 2023 Veterans Day Ceremony begins at 10 am on Saturday, November 11 at Veterans Memorial Park. Trick-or-Treating at Santa Rita Ranch! Of course, on Halloween night, our community streets and sidewalks will echo with the delightful sounds of ghosts, goblins, and giggles. We encourage all families of Santa Rita Ranch to take part, and we can’t wait to see all your little monsters, fairies, superheroes, and everything in between parading in their Halloween best. As always, we urge all our residents to exercise caution and keep an eye out for our most precious witches and wizards. The excitement of Halloween often has our youngsters darting across streets in pursuit of the next sugary treat. Let’s ensure that amidst all the fun, we prioritize their safety. Slow down when driving, be extra vigilant at intersections, and always keep a watchful eye for children who might unexpectedly cross your path.
