Here at Santa Rita Ranch, we’re always looking for new ways to Have Fun Along the Way (Ranch Code No. 11). Over the last month or so our events team has been working around the clock to create some of the best resident events to date!

More than ever before, our residents at the Ranch are enjoying time with family, taking in the fresh air, and embracing the wide-open spaces of the Texas Hill Country that surrounds us. After all, the Santa Rita Ranch master-planned community is home to some of the best amenities around, including lots of opportunities to Learn from the Land and Discover Natural Beauty. (Ranch Codes No. 1 and No. 5, respectively.)

With extensive green spaces, nature trails, and a catch-and-release fishing pond, there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy the great outdoors at Santa Rita Ranch. But you don’t have to always find your own fun at the Ranch, either. Our Director of Fun and our entire team have been cooking up all sorts of innovative ways for residents to Have Fun Along the Way. Here’s just a sample of what’s been going on around the Ranch:

The Kona Ice Truck delivered snow cones to residents who pre-ordered online and the Peaky Beans truck delivered to-go coffees on Thursdays and Fridays all month long. How fun is that? We hosted plenty of virtual events for residents, including a Zoom meetup for residents who were 55 years of age and up. They were able to chat about life at the Ranch and what they’ve been up to lately.

To celebrate Easter, residents hung colored eggs in their yard and windows and walked around the community to see how many they could find.

To keep the family fun going, we held a virtual talent show where residents, both big and small, submitted videos of chalk art, singing their current favorite song and even balancing. The lucky winners received Target gift cards!

Residents also enjoyed a virtual painting class via Zoom led by Kimberly Keller. Over on our Facebook page, we asked residents about their favorite pantry meals. Replies included plenty of mac and cheese, spaghetti, and stir fry using frozen veggies, rice, and marinated chicken. All comfort food; all delicious!

Not everything we’ve been doing lately happened online, though. Santa Rita Ranch residents recently enjoyed the fresh air and wide-open spaces and celebrated Earth Day by picking up trash around the community. We were able to fill several bags and beautify our neighborhood in the process! Additionally, residents have been staying active and healthy by taking their workouts outdoors

That’s a sampling of what’s been going on at the Ranch, and our events team has plenty more in the works that will be coming up in the near future, including

  • Virtual family bingo night on May 7 at 7PM
  • Mother’s Day “Momosa” Virtual Event on May
  • An online adult luncheon on May 12 at 11:30AM
  • Virtual storytime for toddlers on May 14 at 10:30AM
  • Another Zoom meetup for residents age 55 and older on May 27 at 10AM

And that’s just for starters! Join in the fun by keeping up with everything that’s going on in our community by signing up to receive our Ranch newsletter!
