Give a Ranch House of Applause
There are dozens and dozens of master-planned communities in the greater Austin area. But there’s one that has again and again found itself accepting a “Best of” award — Santa Rita Ranch.
It all began in 2017 when developer Ed Horne won the coveted “Developer of the Year” honor from the Home Builders Association of Greater Austin (HBA). This was quickly followed in 2018 and 2019 when the HBA named Santa Rita Ranch “Master-Planned Community of the Year” in back-to-back wins during the annual Marketing and Advertising Excellence (MAX) Awards.
But that wasn’t the only time our Liberty Hill community would be honored with the “Master-Planned Community of the Year” title — the Austin Business Journal awarded Santa Rita Ranch the trophy in 2018.
That’s right — we were named the top community in Austin by both industry and business experts in the same year.
Many factors go into choosing Austin’s top community and one of those is a developers amenity package. And — you guessed it — ours in Santa Rita Ranch is award-winning. In fact, it was named the “Best of the Best” by area voters at Austin’s 2018 Best of the Best Official Choice Awards.
So maybe it’s no surprise that earlier this year, Santa Rita Ranch was included on two lists of the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities published by highly regarded housing research firms John Burns Real Estate Consulting and RCLCO Real Estate Advisors. In fact, RCLCO singled out Santa Rita Ranch as one of the nation’s top five master-planned communities in terms of year-over-year growth. The community posted 372 new home closings in 2019, a figure up 48 percent from the previous year’s sales totals. Those figures place Santa Rita Ranch in the top five communities in the nation, third in Texas and first in Williamson County.
All these awards are nice, but what is most rewarding to us are our many happy homeowners. When asked what they like most about Santa Rita Ranch, residents mention progressive schools, the feeling of being out in the country and all those award-winning, feel-like-I’m-on-vacation amenities. But what is mentioned universally is how much of a close-knit community Santa Rita Ranch is — a place where you know everyone’s first name, where people sit out on the driveways to chat and where people want to get to know each other. That’s the Ranch Code fully at work — take a look at our available homes and see about making the move to our award-winning community soon.
