Get your Halloween celebration started! It’s almost one of the most anticipated holidays of the season, and there are tons of fun activities in our area to get you ready. Halloween is a fun time of year spent with fam or with friends to dress up, trick or treat, and to stock up on candy for the year!
Central Texas has several events to get anyone in the spirit. So if you’re in it for the costumes, the sweet treats, or for a fun outing for the holiday, make sure to catch our must-do event below:
Georgetown Halloween Festival: October 29, 5:30-8:30 pm
Just down the road and around the goon, is a fun Halloween festival for all! The Georgetown community center is hosting a fun event for the whole family. There will be hay rides, a movie in the park (Disney’s Halloween Town!), fun activity and game booths , and a Trick-or-Treat Village! Come dressed up and trick-or-treat with local businesses all while having fun and getting to know our community. A Hard Day’s Night: October 29, 7:00 pm – 10:00 pm
The LBJ Museum on the University of Texas campus is having a “Beatles” Halloween themed costume party! Come as your favorite Beatle band member, or even a yellow submarine, for a night full of dancing, contests, prizes, drinks & light bites, and so much more. This is a unique Halloween event, so bring your dancing shoes and your favorite Beatles get up and boogie down. For tickets and more event information, visit here.
Austin Comic Con: October 30-29, 12pm – 8pm
It so happens that one of the most popular costume events across the nation also falls on the same weekend as Halloween in Austin: Comic Con! Dress up as your favorite character and make a trip down to Austin to see some of the best costumes and some of the most talented folks in comics for this fun filled event. Details and tickets here.
House of Torment
For those looking for a good scare should head over to House of Torment! This award winning haunted house is fun for older kids and adults looking for a traditional “hair raising” Halloween experience. There is food and drink vendors available while you wait, and you can also take pictures with the spooky monsters outside of the house! For tickets and open date, visit here.
