Austin City Limits: October 2-4, 9-11


Austin City Limits, or “ACL”, is the most popular event of the year in Austin, Texas. Visitors from around the world come to enjoy this 3 day festival (now 2 weekends) with all varieties of music. From folk, to rock-n-roll, to tejano, there is a band or stage for you to dance, relax, or just take in the fun atmosphere of ACL. You will also find some of Austin’s best eateries serving up “street style” food. We think this festival is the best way to get a full experience of Austin, all in convenient and fun one location. Formula 1: October 23-25


For all you race junkies, Formula 1  is the event for you! This year marks its 4th anniversary in the capital of Texas and draws hundreds of thousands across the world for this elite style racing event. Chisholm Trail Days: October 16 & 17

Come out to Chisholm Trail Days this fall– a local Georgetown event for the kiddos! During these two days, kids are taken on a field trip to learn about the trail days through hands on activities and lessons. At the end of all the fun, the kids are treated to a Cowboy Campfire Dinner. Saturday of the event is free to the public with live music, chuck wagons, food, history demonstrations, activities, and so much more! Learn more about this family fun event here.

Wurstfest:  November 6-15


Just a hop, skip, & a jump away from Santa Rita Ranch is the popular New Braunfel’s event, Wursfest! A tradition of over 50 years, this event draws crowds from all over Texas to celebrate the local culture and food that originated in New Braunfels. Known as the “Salute to Sausage” event, this 10 day festival will have carnival rides, food, and live music! Check out the line up of events and map here.

Texas Book Festival: October 17 & 18

And last but not least, the annual Texas Book Festival at the Texas State Capital! This free public event will allow all you book worms to pick up a few reads while snacking on yummy Austin food trucks and taking in the beautiful scenery of the Capital and historic Congress Avenue. There will be live readings & interview sessions with popular authors across the U.S. and fun activities for the kids. Learn more about the event here.
