Construction is moving full speed ahead on the Operation Finally Home house being built for Sergeant Ray Coffey: an American war hero who suffered many injuries while deployed in Iraq. After serving his deployment to Iraq, Coffey was promoted to Staff Sergeant and was decorated with several awards including a Purple Heart, a Navy & Marine Achievement Medal, and a Bronze Star with the combat “v” device. Gary Henley of Henley Homes, Inc. surprised the Coffey family with a new home at Santa Rita Ranch South. He was very moved by Sgt. Coffey’s sacrifices while deployed and was eager to be the builder on the project.
You can watch live updates on the construction here.
Santa Rita Ranch is honored to be able to give the Coffey family a new home and host the first Operation Finally Home dedication at Santa Rita Ranch South on January 31st. The dedication in honor of Coffey and his family begins at 10 a.m. The Texas Longhorn mascot Bevo, Happy the cow, and the Liberty Hill Marching Band will make an appearance to help celebrate Santa Rita Ranch, Operation Finally Home, and the Coffey’s moving into their new home.
