Austin, Texas: not only one of the best places to live, but one of the most fun cities to spend the Fourth of July. This Independence Day, Austin won’t only be known as the Live Music Capital of the World, but also as home of the best fireworks showcase in Texas. An Austin 4th of July isn’t truly an American celebration without a huge fireworks display, so we have compiled a list of the best places to check them out in the area!
This year’s Austin Symphony Fourth of July celebration, has been moved back to it’s original location — Vic Mathias Shores — where it will illuminate the skies of the downtown area, giving you a perfect view of the Austin skyline. This free event is one of the most popular in Austin, and draws thousands across the Central Texas area. Fireworks start at 8:30 p.m., so make sure to get out there and get a good spot for this year’s display!
This Lake Travis spot always has a great fireworks show for those looking to be out on the water this Fourth of July weekend. This show will start at dusk on July 4th, and admission is $8. Volente Beach is a perfect spot for those looking for both water and fireworks!
You can’t beat a carnival, parade, family fun, and to top it all off, fireworks! Those living north should check out this FREE all day celebration that is perfect for this patriotic holiday. The fireworks show starts at 10 p.m.!
