What you need:

  • Straight sided jars
  • Package of small American flags
  • Double-sided tape
  • Mod Podge (and brush)
  • Twine
  • Small candles

These are great patriotic crafts to give your outdoor Fourth of July party a little sparkle! Start out by finding straight-sided jars—pickle jars or any glass mason jars in your pantry or fridge would be perfect! Remove any labels using warm soapy water. Open your package of small American flags and carefully remove the flag from the attached wooden pole; use double-sided roll-on tape to stick the flag around the side of the jar. If you would like, you can coat the flag with Mod Podge to make it stick better. Add a little twine around the top neck of the jar, adhere with glue and you’re done! Simply place a small candle inside and you have perfect outdoor lighting!
